Refining his load development Ed Poirer shot (See target above) this 300 yds group from his 6.5 X 47 Lapua, impressive to say the least from a light weight hunting rifle. The bullet he used was a TRC 122 grain ballistic hollow point.
Using the same bullet loaded into his .264 Winchester Magnum Adrian Rainville harvested this buck in Franklin county Vermont. The buck was shot at 538 yds and dropped with one shot. Congratulations to Adrian on his buck and good shooting Ed.
